Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development

Countries of the region are facing unbearable social, economic, and political burdens caused by the influx of refugees and displaced peoples crossing over borders to escape the fighting and conflicts battering the region.

The movement of a massive number of refugees and displaced peoples puts extreme pressure on the available resources of the host countries' local populations. This produces innumerable problems and challenges, needing continuous response at the individual and institutional levels by local, regional, national, and international organizations.

Through its study of past crises' causes and outcomes, and comparing to ongoing crises, the Center aims to take on a leading role in discussing crisis responses and addressing their effects.
