The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), with support from the International Rescue Committee (IRC), is implementing a five-month project in Amman and Irbid to strengthen protection and access to justice for disadvantaged Jordanian and Syrian refugee women facing legal and protection challenges.
Activities are implemented through the IRC Community Center in Al Hashmi (Amman) and in partnership with Khatwat Amal Association in Irbid, a member of the Jordan National NGOs Forum (JONAF).
The project is expected to reach approximately 800 women through legal information, counselling, referrals, and specialized legal services. Around 250 women have also participated in legal awareness sessions delivered alongside IRC’s psychosocial support activities. In addition, approximately 50 women will receive legal representation and specialized legal assistance to address complex cases and facilitate access to justice.

• Promoting awareness of rights and available protection mechanisms.
The project contributes to ARDD’s broader efforts to promote protection, gender equality, access to justice, and the empowerment of women and girls, while supporting vulnerable communities in building safer, more resilient, and rights-based futures.
