Advisory Board

The ARDD Advisory Board is a consultative council that supports the work of ARDD with expertise from a wide range of sectors, including the business and private sectors, social entrepreneurship, women’s rights and media and communication. Each of its five members contributes with his or her unique experience to enhance the goals of the organization in Jordan and the region.

Mr. Ghassan Nuqul (Vice Chairman, Nuqul Group)

Mr. Nuqul is the Vice President of Nuqul Group - one of the Middle East’s leading manufactures. He served on the Royal Economic Consultative Council to HM King Abdullah II, and participated in developing the Jordanian National Agenda as Chairman of the Employment Support and Vocational Training working group. Mr. Nuqul is a member of high-ranking government councils and committees and is engaged in local and international business associations, non-profit organizations and initiatives. He holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Purdue University, United States. Mr. Nuqul’s supports ARDD with his long-standing experience and in-depth understanding of the Jordanian and international private sector.

Dr. Salma Nims (Secretary General at JNCW)

In her capacity as Secretary General of the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW) Dr. Salma Nims stands at the forefront of the promotion of women’s right in Jordan. Before her appointment to head JNCW in 2014, Dr. Nims served as Executive Coordinator of “Taqaddam” Platform, a social movement aiming to build a positive discourse towards change in Jordan. Throughout her career she provided professional development and gender consultancy services to Jordanian governmental agencies and international organizations, including the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Education, UNDP, UN Women, UNFPA, UNICEF and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Dr. Nims holds a PhD. in Development Planning (2004) and a MS. in Sustainable Development (1998) from University College London, University of London. To the ARDD advisory board she brings her extensive background in gender and women’s rights and her experience with Jordanian governmental and international organizations.

Ms. Nabila Morcos (CEO, En-Caps Consult; President of International Women Forum Jordan)

Ms. Morcos is the Owner & Chief Executive Officer of EN-CAPS Consult, a consulting firm specialized in strategy alignment, organizational development and gender mainstreaming.  As a consultant, Ms. Morcos is working on projects supported by the international donor community, including the European Union, USAID, the UN and the World Bank as well as with international consortia like Bearing Point, Deloitte, DTS and others. Currently, she serves as the President for the Jordanian branch of the International Women's Forum.  Ms. Morcos holds a M.Sc. in Management Information Systems from Leeds University, an MBA in Organization Development & Psychology, from Boston University, a Human Rights and Civil Rights Diploma from Lund University, and a B.Sc. double major in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Khartoum. To ARDD’s advisory board she brings her extensive experience in business and international development.

Mr. Maher Kaddoura (Managing Partner, Nextmove)

Mr. Kaddoura is a managing partner at Nextmove, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and visionary, who believes in action with less talk and doing more with less. After years as a managing partner for Accenture Middle East, Mr. Kaddoura began to work as a social entrepreneur and established programs in Jordan such as Hikmat Road Safety, a program to reduce the percentage of road death and injuries in the Kingdom; New Think Theater, a regular event in Amman modeled on the popular TED Talks in the United States;  Start Alliance, a group of organizations allied to make Jordan more entrepreneurial and innovative; and Meydan, a new age accelerator focused on reducing the time from idea to implementation. Mr. Kaddoura holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering/Construction Management from Nottingham University England. He supports the work of ARDD with his long standing experience of social entrepreneurship and innovative thinking.

Mrs. Hana Al Araj (TV Anchor Jordan Today/ CEO of AL Hanaa International)

Ms. Hana AlAraj is a well-known Jordanian TV Host and Anchor Women working for different television stations, including Jordan Today and al-Hanaa International. Ms. AlAraj has over fifteen years of experience in training, development, management and mass media and has worked for organizations such as the Business Development Centre (BDC) and Train Edge Company. She regularly serves as a moderator at national and international conferences and panel discussions. Ms. AlAraj holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Jordan. To ARDD’s advisory council she brings her extensive experience in media, strategic communication and outreach.
