Furthering Learning to Improve Life Chances for Students in Jorda
Many Jordanian youth lack the means and opportunity to access higher education. In addition, access to higher education for Syrian refugees is low where only one per cent of refugee youth worldwide are enrolled in tertiary education although higher education offers the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life and combats feelings of stagnation and hopelessness.
To provide chances for vulnerable Jordanians and Syrian refugees, Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development – ARDD in cooperation with Yayasan Hasanah (Hasanah) Foundation is offering a total of 15 two-year scholarships to help talented students benefiting from the program to obtain a technical or vocational diploma at Al-Balqa Applied University in Jordan.
ARDD invites Jordanians and Syrians to apply to this grant by completing an application and sending it by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.

The applicant must have successfully passed the tawjihi exam or has not been lucky to pass tawjihi exam successfully.
The applicant age should not be more than 22 years.
For a technical degree: applicant must have completed their tawjihi.
For an arts degree: applicant must have completed 11th grade.
Strong motivation for education and the ability to work for community development.
The ability to commit to the scholarship for the entirety of its implementation.
Preference will be given to those from vulnerable groups and who would not otherwise have the opportunity to access higher education.
Skills in a particular field.
Syrian applicants must be registered with the UNHCR and present an MOI card.
How the student will be chosen for the scholarship:
The first 15 candidates will be selected by ARDD for interview while other candidates will be notified whether they will go for the selection process that will include personal interview based on the written application.

Within the framework of Furthering Learning to Improve Life Chances for Students in Jordan, and in order to increase access for talented Jordanian and Syrian students, ARDD is extending the deadline to 1 May 2018.
