ARDD participated in the Third International Conference on Access to Legal Aid in Criminal Justice System

ARDD participated as a key provider of Legal Aid to vulnerable segments of population in Jordan, in particular the refugees from Syria, the third
International Conference on Access to Legal Aid in Criminal Justice System,held in Georgia, Tbilisi, from 13 to 15 November 2018.
 
ARDD by Ms. Isabelle Astor the Head of Programs Department presented their experience in particular developed an innovative approach to Legal Aid in the Zaatari refugee camp, one of the largest refugee camps in the Middle East, with joint support of Jordan Government and UNHCR.
 
On the first day of the Conference, The Representative of ther Jordanian Delegation presented the new by-Law on Legal Aid system which was recently issued in Nov 2018 to share Jordan experience within the justice sector.
 
ARDD will continue, through its expert lawyers, its unique expertise and 10 years of experience as the UNHCR legal implementing partner for refugees in Jordan, to contribute to the efforts of Jordan to ensure that quality and all-inclusive free Legal Aid will be delivered to refugees and other vulnerable groups from different nationalities.
