Samar Muhareb is the Executive Director of Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) and a Board Member of the Cultural Diplomacy Forum in Türkiye. She is a development and human rights expert with more than two decades of experience across the Arab region.
In recent years, she has expanded her work into the field of cultural diplomacy, focusing on the role of dialogue, knowledge exchange, and multilateral partnerships in fostering stability, strengthening regional cooperation, and advancing humanitarian and development agendas.
Through her leadership at ARDD and oversight of the Renaissance Strategic Center and the Euro-MENA Initiative for Democracy and Development (ARDD Europe), she has led regional initiatives that bridge research, policy, and practice, while advocating for locally led development, inclusive governance, and sustainable community-centered approaches.
Muhareb has contributed to the development of policy papers, strategic analyses, and regional dialogue platforms used by decision-makers, international organizations, and development partners. She has also participated in high-level international forums addressing conflict, political transitions, and the future of development and governance in the Middle East.
She holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Human Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Law.
