Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD)-Legal Aid proudly presents its Consultative Council, which was formed through a series of meetings and discussions with very prominent public figures discussing the work of ARDD-Legal Aid and their own work, the Council came to fruition and now consists of the following dignitaries:
Mr. Ghassan Nuqul (Vice Chairman, Nuqul Group)
Mr. Nuqul is the Vice President of Nuqul Group - one of the Middle East’s leading manufactures. He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Purdue University. In addition to this, Mr. Nuqul also served on the Economic Consultative Council to HM King Abdullah II, and participated in developing the National Agenda as Chairman of the Employment Support and Vocational Training Theme. He currently sits on several government councils and committees and is personally involved in several local and international business associations, non-profit organizations and initiatives. His expertise and experience in these different industries brings new and exciting ideas to ARDD-Legal Aid.
Mr. Ihab Hinnawi (Chief Executive Officer, UMNIAH)
Mr. Ihab Hinnawi holds a BA in Business Administration, and is also the Vice Chairman of the Int@j Board of Directors, a member of the Young Arab Leaders (YAL) association, as well as a member of INJAZ Board of Trustees. He has been the Chief Executive Officer at Umniah Mobile Company of Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) since March 2009. He joined Umniah as a part of its founding team in September 2004 and has worked as both the General Manager and Director of Batelco . In each of these positions he has helped to establish clear management and strategic directions allowing the organizations to grow and thrive. Mr. Ihabis will bring his experience and expertise in management and marketing to ARDD-Legal Aid as he joins the consultative committee.
Dr. Salma Nims (Secretary General at Jordanian National Commission for Women)
Salma Nims holds a PhD. in Development Planning (2004) and a MS. in Sustainable Development (1998) from University College London, University of London. Since 2004, she has been providing professional development and gender consultancy services to several government and international organizations. This includes: the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Education, UNDP, UN Women, UNFPA, UNICEF and CIDA. Before being appointed the Secretary General of the Jordanian National Commission for Women, she was the Executive Coordinator of “Taqaddam” Platform, a social movement aiming at building a positive discourse towards change in Jordan. Dr. Nims is active on social media where she raises issues relating to social equity and human rights, with a specific focus on women rights. Dr. Nims brings her extensive background in various government and international organizations as she joins the consultative committee.
Ms. Nabila Morcos (President, International Women Forum Jordan/CEO, Encaps)
Nabila holds a MS in Management Information Systems from Leeds University, MBA- in Organization Development & Psychology, from Boston University, Human Rights and Civil Rights Diploma, from Lund University, and a BS, double major in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Khartoum. Nabila is the Owner & Managing Director of EN-CAPS Consult, a consulting firm specialized in Strategy Alignment, Organization Development and Gender Mainstreaming. As a consultant, Nabila has also worked on projects financed by the International Donor Community like the European Union, USAID, UN Agencies, and the World Bank and with International consortiums like Bearing Point, Deloitte, DTS and others. Currently, she serves as the President for the Jordanian branch of the International Women's Forum. She brings her experience and expertise in international development and gender issues to the consultative committee.
Mr. Maher Kaddoura (Managing Partner, nextmove)
Mr. Kaddoura is a management consultant, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and visionary who believes in action with less talk and doing more with less. After years a managing partner for Accenture Middle East Mr. Kaddoura began to work as a social entrepreneur and established programs in Jordan such as Hikmat Road Safety, a program to address Road Safety and reduce the percentage of road death and injuries in the Kingdom; New Think Theater, a regular event in Amman modeled on the famous TED ideas conference in California; Start Alliance, a group of organizations allied to make Jordan more entrepreneurial and innovative; Meydan, a new age accelerator focused on reducing the time from idea to revenue. He brings his innovative ideas as he joins ARDD-Legal Aid’s consultative council.
Mrs. Hana Al Araj (TV Host, Jawla Al-Sabah, Orient TV/ CEO, AL Hanaa International)
Mrs. Hana has a background in training, development, management and mass media, in addition to this she holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Jordan. Hana has vast experience working for various television stations such Jordan TV and Orient TV as a host and presenter with over 2000 hours on air. Hana’s expertise in development and training stems from her work at several institutions such as the Business Development Centre (BDC) and Train Edge Company. Through this work she has become a strategic training development executive with concrete passion and expertise in the field. With over fifteen years of experience, Hana’s ability to understand and analyze regional development needs has made her one of the most recognized faces in the management and the improvement of training, learning, and communications functions for development making her an asset for ARDD-Legal Aid’s consultative council.
