Positive Learning: Supportive Parenting Toolbox

The Positive Learning- Supportive Parenting Toolbox aimed at enhancing positive parent-child relationships among refugees and host communities in Jordan. The objective is to equip parents, who expressed shortcomings in parenting skills, with varied tools and techniques to tackle behavioral issues regarding their children aiming to enhance positive parenting without using violence.

This project is a psychosocial and outreach project designed to complement and enhance ARDD’s eighteen-month educational project, Education for the Future, addressing school-age children in Jordan.

Helping  parents  overcome  behavioral  challenges  vis-à-vis  their children  is a key element  towards  the creation  of positive  learning  environments,  which stands at the core of our longer educational  project.

The PSS Unit aims to provide protection to refugees and vulnerable Jordanians by using evidence-based mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) interventions to empower women, men and children to realize their human rights. Through its overall objective and targeted beneficiaries, this project addresses one of our focus areas of “protection of minorities, women and youth”.
