The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) has completed its 2026 Gender Audit, reviewing how its commitment to gender justice is reflected in its policies, workplace practices and programs.
Building on the organization’s previous audit, the assessment drew on team feedback, group discussions, a review of institutional documents and management input. It found strong awareness of ARDD’s commitments and highlighted areas for further action, including staff learning, clearer communication of confidential reporting procedures and more consistent integration of gender considerations across departments.
ARDD has revised its Gender Equality Policy to reinforce its commitments to equal opportunity, inclusive workplace practices, gender-responsive programming and protection from discrimination and retaliation. The audit’s findings will inform continued efforts to make these principles part of everyday institutional practice.
ARDD has also selected staff members from different departments to serve as Gender Equality Focal Points for 2026–2028. They will support coordination, raise awareness of the policy and reporting procedures, and help identify and address challenges to implementation.
Through the audit and these follow-up measures, ARDD is strengthening institutional accountability and advancing gender justice within the organization and through its work.
