Tawasol

Strengthening Crisis Management under the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda in the South

Implemented in collaboration with UN Women Jordan, the Tawasol project is designed to bridge this gap. By empowering women-led organizations with leadership skills, technical expertise, and strategic influence, Tawasol ensures that women are not just participants but key decision-makers in crisis response and recovery.

Aligned with the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) and its efforts to advance JONAP II (UNSCR 1325) on Women, Peace, and Security, Tawasol adopts a gender-responsive approach to crisis management. Through strategic partnerships with local authorities, community organizations, and key stakeholders, the project actively advocates for the inclusion of women and marginalized communities in decision-making, crisis prevention, and peacebuilding efforts.

Tawasol supports JONAP II implementation at the local level, particularly in southern governorates, by decentralizing efforts and amplifying women’s voices in underrepresented areas. It strengthens women-led organizations, enhances institutional responsiveness, and promotes gender-inclusive crisis management, advancing national goals for peace, security, and gender equality in Jordan.
