The upheaval that swept over the Arab world in 2010-2011 has entered its second decade. It is the outcome of longer-term processes of change affecting the Arab world’s political systems and societies. ARDD’s Arab Transformations Program aims to inject a distinctly regional voice in the debate and offer a space for discussion about the dynamics of Arab transformations. The program was launched in 2018 following a series of events that took place during ARDD’s 10th Anniversary Conference, titled “The Renewal of Civilizational Mission”. The strategic objective of this program is to achieve a better understanding of the dynamic changes that are affecting Arab states and promote a vision of the region based on respect for the inalienable individual and collective rights of its citizens and residents. The Arab Transformation Program will focus on four primary themes: Dynamics of Transformation, Civic Participation, The Politics of Identity and Conflict Resolution.
