Entrepreneur Shares Experience with Entrepreneurial Projects Owners Incubated by Maqha AlNahda

“The first step in entrepreneurship is defining and scrutinizing an issue to be able to provide a solution. It is essential to focus on the diversity of expertise among workers in any project.”

These were the words of Marwan Abu Sakha, CEO of the Jordanian new emerging kitchen-services business Kitchefy, to 15 (out of 35) entrepreneurs of the Maqha AlNahda’s business incubator affiliated to the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), within the “Design and Determine” project which came to support the youth and new emerging businesses in Jordan.

Abu Sakha’s meeting with entrepreneurs titled “Entrepreneurs Meeting” was held in parallel to “Sales Management, Supply Chain Management”. Both are part of a business training series for selected projects that started in February 2022. The series aims at addressing challenges facing youth such as the establishment and sustainability of entrepreneurial businesses through presenting the success and experience in overcoming challenges and building networks of young models in Jordan.

Clarifying his project’s scope, Abu Sakha Says that his company “provides virtual kitchen services for food and beverages companies to help them reach new clients, explore new markets, and enable them to maximize the benefits of their resources.”

He emphasized his project’s focus on marketing as the most important factor for the success of any project. He worked on persuading donors and clients of the importance of his work, expanding his network, ensuring career development for employees, and maintaining diversity within the experience pool in the company.

Additionally, Abu Sakha expressed the importance of attractive marketing of products and the vital element of clients’ satisfaction with the product.

Networking is important for Abu Sakha. He considers it to be one of the reasons for any project’s success, especially when on the look for investors or partners.

In conclusion, Abu Sakha noted that the success of any entrepreneurial project is dependent on strong relationships and constant communication with clients. This ensures clients’ loyalty and respect, specifically when communication is based on transparency and credibility.

The incubation program aims at assisting new and growing businesses to become established and profitable with a focus on innovation and social responsibility by providing incubates with a place of operation and a supportive environment to grow their business, increasing the success rate of new start-up businesses in Jordan, creating job opportunities, supporting the local economic development by reducing operational costs, enabling entrepreneurs from accessing consulting services, and promoting communication and networking for a smoother exchange of information and experiences.

The “Design and Determine” project is an initiative within the initiatives of Maqha AlNahda, and a pioneering project launched by the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) in 2019 in the capital, Amman, seeks to enhance Jordanians’ and refugees’ capacity building, improve their employability, build their professional skills, and support entrepreneurs to start work, grow, and expand.

This project is funded by the European Regional Development and Protection Program (RDPP II) for Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, which is supported by the Czech Republic, Denmark, the European Union, Ireland, and Switzerland.
