ARDD and the Palestinian NGOs Network sign a Cooperation MOU

The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), the founding member and coordinator of the Jordanian National NGOs Forum (JONAF), signed the memorandum of cooperation between the JONAF and the Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO) end of April 2020..

This agreement aims to enhance the exchange of experiences between JONAF and PNGO, and to enable the utilization of the Palestinian Civil Society Resource Center Platform, in displaying the content on JONAF established platform to respond to the Covid-19 crisis.It also aims at strengthening cooperation frameworks in the field of consultations and training in which the two parties can share their experiences and lessons learned, especially the rich Palestinian civil society experience in responding to the Covid crisis, and in coordinating efforts among its members in responding to various crises.

The Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO) is a civil, democratic coalition that includes a number of Palestinian civil work institutions with a long history of community work and aims to preserve the spirit of the Palestinians’ original national belonging, their inalienable national rights to return and self-determination, national independence, civil work that adheres to the values of social justice and democracy and respect for human rights on the one hand, and strengthening ties, disseminating and expanding the base of societal awareness and influencing policies and a system of behavioral rules at all levels of decision-making in a manner consistent with the Network’s aspirations in preserving the national, democratic, and civilizational heritage of Palestinian society without any discrimination.

The Jordanian National NGOs Forum (JONAF) was established in 2016, as an initiative by ARDD and a number of civil society NGOs working at the national level (CSOs), and at the local community level (CBOs). Through JONAF members’ wide range of programs implemented to be in the forefront of the efforts made in the areas of the humanitarian response and development in Jordan, to meet the needs of the refugee and Jordanian host communities most affected by the consequences and conflicts and wars of neighboring countries . JONAF aims to activate the localization of humanitarian, developmental and decentralization work, and to emphasize the role of women in security and peace.

ARDD CEO emphasized, “The Palestinian NGOs Network is an example to be followed in coordinating and developing the work of civil society organizations and consolidating the principles of communal work and initiative to find solutions in successive crises in Palestine. As thus we are proud in JONAF to partner with PNGO and we stress on the added value of coordinating and building on best practice regionally, through various dialogues and training sessions”.
