“This training opened a space for us to learn how to create change and raise our voices with confidence and responsibility. It was also a strong motivation for us to continue serving our community causes. The best part was that we worked together as a team and designed initiatives that represent us and reflect what we believe in,” shared a participant about her experience in a series of leadership and community trainings which were organized by the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), held under the project “Nidaa’ for Change – Empowering the Next Generation of Women Leaders.” The training targeted 41 Jordanian young women aged 15 to 19 from Amman and Mafraq,

The Nidaa’ for Change project aims to empower ambitious young women from refugee and host communities in Amman and Mafraq through inclusive and interactive learning spaces that build self-confidence, resilience, and civic awareness—enabling them to become strong advocates for education, equality, and social justice in their communities.

The trainings focused on strengthening leadership, advocacy, and mobilization skills, while also enhancing participants’ abilities in self-expression and inspiration, through a program tailored to their realities and experiences. The young women were also supported in designing and leading community initiatives in the fields of education and inclusive justice, reinforcing their active role in civic participation.

These efforts reflect ARDD’s ongoing commitment to equipping the new generation of young women with the tools and skills necessary to take on influential leadership roles. ARDD emphasized the importance of further collaboration with national and international partners to advance social justice and inclusive, quality education.

The activities under Nidaa’ for Change are implemented as part of the IGNITE project, implemented by ARDD with the support of the René Moawad Foundation in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) funded by Agence Françise de Développement (AFD).
