ARDD Participates in a panel discussion entitled “National Response to Combat Human Trafficking”

The Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) participated in “The National Response to Combat Human Trafficking” panel discussion that was held under the patronage of his Excellency the Minister of Justice Dr. Bassam Talhouni and in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration Monday 2nd Sept.2019, at the St. Regis Hotel. As part of the human trafficking resulting from conflicts prevention project and to ensure a protection-based approach throughout the Levant.

ARDD’s Lawyer Mr. Rami Qwaider spoke at the second panel discussion session about the importance of the services provided by civil society organizations and the their role in promoting participatory fight against this type of crime and the necessity of raising awareness and measuring this impact on society and the need to provide sustainable services for victims and potential victims of such kind of crimes.

The meeting concluded with a number of unanimous recommendations, including writing plans, programs and proposals to amend laws to be submitted to the National Assembly for a Jordan free of human trafficking and against it locally, regionally and internationally, and to unify national efforts with all partners to apply to human rights standards, raise awareness and provide services and protect victims and those affected by human trafficking crimes.
