Farewell gathering to honor Tamar Tavartkiladze

ARDD organized a farewell meeting to honor Tamar Tavartkiladze, a highly regarded Programme Management Specialist at UN Women Jordan. The gathering brought together representatives from Women-Led CBOs, the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW), and the UN Women team working on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. The event highlighted the significance of mutual respect, cooperation, and localizing the gender agenda in advancing the Jordanian National Action Plan (JONAP) 1325. Tamar’s remarkable dedication and cooperation were deeply appreciated, as she played a role in recognizing the importance of Women-Led CBOs, empowering them, and advocating for the Women, Peace, and Security agenda in Jordan.

 

The meeting served as a testament to Tamar’s impactful contributions to implementing UNSCR 1325. Her exceptional efforts in supporting civil society, particularly Women-Led CBOs, were lauded by Samar Muhareb, Chief Executive Director of ARDD. Tamar’s commitment to fostering collaboration and providing opportunities for Women-Led CBOs to actively participate in the development of JONAP  I and II were recognized as vital steps toward achieving sustainable social cohesion. The event emphasized the crucial role of civil society and reiterated the importance of mutual respect, cooperation, and localized approaches to advancing the gender agenda in Jordan.
