Share

The Maqha AlNahda’s business incubator affiliated to the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), within the “Design and Determine” project, started to incubate 15 out of 35 pioneering projects applied to this opportunity which came to support the youth and new emerging businesses in Jordan.

The incubation program, which began in February 2022, aims to contribute in addressing the challenges facing youth in establishing, launching or sustaining their projects, their need for training, guidance, legal empowerment, and logistics services, as well as networking and cooperation with the private sector and government agencies for the success of their pioneering projects.

The program aims to assist new and developing projects, and to advance and consolidate their businesses and generate profit, with a focus on innovation and social responsibility, by providing business incubator equipped with work spaces and a supportive environment for the development of their businesses, enhancing the chances of success of new emerging businesses in Jordan, creating job opportunities and assisting in local economic development by reducing operating costs, enabling entrepreneurs to access advisory services, enhancing communication and building relationships and networking between beneficiaries in order to facilitate the exchange of information and experiences.

The selected pioneering projects include practical training for their owners, and they will later continue to provide them with the most important tips and instructions that serve their businesses, and provide networking opportunities for them, on innovative and pioneering topics, such as: paper recycling, electricity generation, discovering smart applications that serve the community, preparing foods and bakeries, smart agriculture (use of technology in the process of agriculture), public health, job training for youth, technological programs that contribute to overcoming the difficulties facing the elderly and people with disabilities.

Design and Determine project is an initiative within the initiatives of Maqha AlNahda, and a pioneering project launched by the Arab Renaissance (ARDD) in 2019 in the capital, Amman, seeks to enhance Jordanians’ and refugees’ capacity building, improve their employability, build their professional skills and support entrepreneurs to start work, grow and expand.

This project is funded by the European Regional Development and Protection Program (RDPP II) for Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq, which is supported by the Czech Republic, Denmark, the European Union, Ireland and Switzerland.
