On Thursday 11th May 2023, the Turkish Ambassador to Jordan, Mr. Erdem Ozan, visited the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) to learn more about its multifaceted work as an Arab civil society organization.
During the visit, ARDD´s Director Samar Muhareb gave an overview of ARDD’s role as a civil society organization in establishing democracy and empowering communities, and advocating for inclusive comprehensive reforms in the Arab world, and better governance towards global and social justice.
Ambassador Ozan and members of the ARDD team discussed experiences in both Jordan and Turkey when it comes to refugees’ response and addressing human rights issues, and potential collaboration between Turkish think tanks and NGOs and ARDD, fostering joint initiatives and knowledge exchange in areas of common interest.
Ambassador Ozan commended ARDD and the Jordanian CSO´s commitment and contribution to improving the lives of marginalized communities and their livelihoods in Jordan.
