Nidaa for the Change
Empowering the Next Generation of Women Leaders

Young women are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the changemakers of today. Nidaa for the Change believes in the power of girls to challenge the status quo, inspire their communities, and spark lasting transformation. When equipped with the right tools and support, young women bring bold, innovative solutions to the very challenges they face. Their leadership is essential to advancing social justice, strengthening communities, and driving inclusive progress across generations.

In Jordan, despite notable strides in women’s rights, many girls—especially from marginalized and refugee communities—still face structural barriers that limit their participation in education, leadership, and civic life. Factors such as limited resources, restrictive gender norms, and economic insecurity often silence their voices. Nidaa for the Change seeks to flip the narrative by placing these girls at the center of community transformation.

About the Project

Implemented by the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) under the IGNITE initiative—Inspiring Girls and Grassroots Networks for Inclusive and Transformative Education—with the support from the René Mouawad Foundation (RMF), and funded by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Nidaa for the Change empowers girls aged 15–19 from refugee and underserved communities in Amman and Mafraq.

Through inclusive, interactive learning spaces, the project nurtures confidence, resilience, and civic awareness, helping participants become vocal advocates for education, equity, and social justice in their communities.

Our Theory of Change

If young women are empowered through leadership training, civic engagement, and access to supportive networks,
Then they will develop the agency, knowledge, and confidence to challenge systemic barriers—
Leading to sustained community advocacy and long-term social change.

Our Approach

  • Leadership Training
Empowering girls with the skills to speak up, lead, and inspire—through personalized training grounded in their lived realities.
  • Civic Engagement
Supporting participants to design and lead community-based advocacy initiatives that champion inclusive education and justice.
  • Networking and Stakeholder Dialogue
Creating platforms for dialogue between young women and key actors—educators, policymakers, and civil society—to amplify their voices and sustain their impact.
  • Action-Oriented Research
Documenting insights to inform how education systems can better support girls as leaders and advocates for change.

Inspiring the Change

By the end of the project, participants will:

  • Demonstrate increased leadership and advocacy skills, confidently engaging within their families, schools, and communities.
  • Lead advocacy initiatives that influence local education narratives and policies.

Nidaa for the Change is not just a project—it is a call to action. A call to believe in the potential of girls. A call to invest in leadership that rises from within the most vulnerable communities. A call to reimagine the future through the voices and visions of young women ready to lead.
