Background on the ARDD–Amna Partnership
Since February 2025, the Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD) has partnered with Amna – Refugee Healing Network to implement a Prevention and Protection Interventions project in Jordan. This project forms part of a broader regional program titled “Community Engagement in Jordan and Lebanon,” implemented simultaneously in both countries through a network of ten local organizations.
The project aims to enhance the psychological, social, and economic well-being of community members of all nationalities—men, women, and families—by addressing the interlinked challenges that affect protection and resilience at the household and community levels.
Project Activities
Under this partnership, ARDD implements a series of targeted interventions, including:
- Group sessions addressing well-being, psychosocial, and protection concerns affecting families and children.
- Safe spaces that encourage open dialogue, mutual learning, and experience sharing among participants.
- Referral services and awareness-raising to strengthen knowledge of available national protection mechanisms and service providers.
Additional Collaboration under the Project
Throughout the implementation of the project, Amna provides a series of specialized trainings to strengthen the capacity of ARDD staff who deliver direct services to beneficiaries. These trainings introduce the core theories and practical skills needed to work with communities in a trauma- and identity-informed manner.
During the sessions, trainees reflect on the impact of ongoing and often interconnected adversities faced by the communities we serve. The training also focuses on developing a collective toolkit of techniques that support individuals and groups in coping with and navigating challenging conditions.
