Right to information and Freedom of Speech

A democratic Arab world which is accountable to the people requires a robust free press and skilled investigative journalism. For this reason, ARDD works with young people at a grassroots community level to teach journalism skills and communicate the importance of pluralism, diversity and inclusivity in public discourse.

As an organization with a strong legal cadre ARDD also provides expert opinions to the news media and on the ARDD website to contribute to public debate about laws and policies which could potentially infringe upon the abilities of a free press to hold government and politicians to account.
